Ensemble Belvedere originated through a management from Vienna, called Classic Art Vienna. The ensemble was brought together after auditioning to perform over 130 concerts a year on luxurious river cruise ships for Scenic Tours, Crystal Cruises and Vantage Cruises, sailing from Amsterdam to Budapest.

After working together for 5 years and playing a lot together, the Belvedere ensemble also started performing outside the cruise circuit. Bookings at parties, weddings, studio recordings for film music or famous Dutch singers, musical accompaniment at TV shows or private concerts are on the program every week. Ensemble Belvedere plays music styles ranging from baroque, classical, romantic, tango to contemporary music.

Each ensemble member of Belvedere is educated with a master's degree. Some of us work in professional orchestras in the Netherlands, such as the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Netherlands Philharmonic and the Dutch Chamber Orchestra, and lot's of work is also being done abroad.
But the main love of us all goes to chamber music.
