I play music from now until 80 years ago: old soul, blues, ska but also modern funk, steaming Latin and retro film music. With unexpected twists and turns, suddenly a rousing Balkan song, conjuring AfroBeat, sometimes some grooving electro, surprising jazz and now and then something recognizable. But always energetic and for a wide audience
I play music from vinyl, CD and digital. The music comes first: atmospheric, stylish, music with balls, music with soul. Besides DJ I'm a trumpet player in the Haarlem live retro funk & soul band Uncle Sue.
