Hi, I'm Wieteke. Nice to meet you! Since 1998 I can be found behind the turntables in clubs, dj pubs, restaurants, parties, birthdays, underground parties, hip weddings (house), Christmas parties, company parties, especially in and around Amsterdam.

Following the wishes of the client, I put down a nice funky, uplifting evening, ranging from funky, disco, groovy, house, classics. Or techhouse or groovy, raw deep hypnotic techno. Not dark, but funky.

This can also be all round disco, 80ties 90ties, classics, possibly combined with groovy house.

Wieteke loves quality music and is always focused on catering to the audience. She always stands to enjoy. And knows with her years of experience to create a very nice and cozy vibe every time.

In the late 1990s I started collecting house records, funky, classics or disco records. What I noticed while collecting vinyl is that I have a passion for playing a funky sound, uplifting and upbeat. I think I got this from my father, who used to be in a jazz band. Pretty soon I got behind the turntables to master mixing. I really enjoy it and I find it very special to hear how a new piece of music is created, when two or more records merge during the mixing. And then to see how the audience reacts to it and likes to move.

I perform in (mainly) Amsterdam clubs, also in cozy pubs, underground parties, a festival or in beach bars on vacation, like in Ibiza, Mallorca or France. I am often asked to warm up, starting as first dj, because of my ability to create a nice, constructive, cozy atmosphere.

A DJ set with only one pure sound is also possible. At a work party, for example, I will only play funky disco or classics. Or at a party only house or techno. For an impression, please refer to the playlist on this page on ShowBird or to my dj sets on Mixcloud.
