Jazz the way you want it to sound: atmospheric, swinging and with soul. Trio Scotch & Soda (vocals, piano, double bass) brings well-known and lesser known songs from the 'american songbook' repertoire in a small, intimate line-up that lends itself perfectly to liven up your party or reception, or for a warm (living room) concert.

During her long career as a singer Farida Merville has worked with many big names in the soul and jazz world. Like no other she knows how to sense her audience and thus create the right atmosphere for the performance.

Pianist Lilian Jarad has played with many musicians and bands at home and abroad after graduating from the Rotterdam Conservatory. Besides jazz she masters various other styles such as Latin, Soul and R&B, which makes the songs sound fresh and varied and keeps every performance captivating. Emiel Schoonhoven, for years a versatile double bass player who has earned his spurs in various bands, provides a robust and swinging base that completes the trio. A performance of Scotch & Soda will make you happy and you will remember for a long time!
