The Chanson Salon houses a treasure trove of beautiful songs. In French, bien sûr, they guarantee a cozy French evening, with wine, baguette cheese and chansons. But chansons are narrative songs, and therefore also exist in Dutch or German. Think for example of Ramses Shaffy, Bram Vermeulen, or Hildegard Knef.
The Chanson Salon consists of guitarist Erik Raayman and chansonnière Annemiek van Bussel
Annemiek's dark timbre and narrative style brings the music of yesteryear to life. Guitarist Erik Raayman provides the pieces with a new sound
About Erik: Jazz and classical guitarist Erik has accompanied Liesbeth List and Henk Elsink in the past, and currently Ernest Beuving. About Annemiek: made his debut in 2004 with a programme of German and French chansons and learned the art of interpreting with, among others, Brecht-diva Gisela May. In the meantime she has also sung her own translations of this repertoire, which further strengthen the expressiveness of the music.

You imagine yourself in France for a moment. ChansonSalon brings a lot of atmosphere & conviviality with beautiful French music (known songs and slightly less known) by very experienced musicians. A glass of wine, a nice cheese and lots of 'Joie de vivre' Book it I would say! Gerard & Monique (and we should know with a B&B in 'La France')

Lightly theatrical French and German-language listening songs. With fitting voice of Annemiek van Bussel. Supported by two fantastic musicians, Erik Raaijman and Reinder van Raalte. Back in time, but you also forget time, so beautiful.

Annemiek and her guitarist provided a beautiful and appropriate performance for our pampering day. Beautiful songs, appropriate to our target group and beautifully sung. The accompaniment on the guitar was beautiful and created a nice atmosphere!

For the second time I saw the performance "Girls of 50," by Annemiek van Bussel and Erik Raayman and again it touched me. The auditorium was full, there were maybe 200 people, mostly ladies who probably already had several years of experience of being fifty. So the cabaret evoked chuckles and cries of recognition throughout. So did I. Growing older goes hand in hand with still wanting so much and being able to do a little less and Annemiek van Bussel portrays this with a smile and a tear. With her deep, dark voice she sang -sometimes slightly adapted- Dutch songs, a feast of recognition, accompanied by Erik Raayman on guitar. It was moving.

With my mother and sister and myself as a girl of (just) 50, got to attend this performance! We enjoyed it from beginning to end! Beautiful songs, lots of humor and so well played in a very intimate theater. Absolutely recommended ♡
