The Soul & Jazz duo 'Sadie & The Pianist' is the smallest member of the Soul & Jazz band Sadie's Choice. The duo 'Sadie & The Pianist' is ideal for more intimate settings, where smooth jazzy soul in the background is a beautiful atmospheric musical decoration of your events e.g. dinners, receptions, drinks and networking meetings, but also for ceremonies.
WHO WE ARE:
This internationally playing duo, wont the 2020 Touch of Jazz Award in Suriname for their own interpretation of a song by soul & jazz legend Gregory Porter. (see video)
Soul singer Sadie, who played at The North Sea Jazz Club with American soul & jazz singer Frank McComb (see video) among others, now brings together with her fantastic pianist Theo Maria Boddeke (has played with Berget Lewis, Glennis Grace and Candy Dulfer, among others), quirky, jazzy, soulful interpretations of well-known pop songs.
OUR "SOUL & JAZZ" CONCEPT:
We start with instrumental jazz in the background and gradually add soulful ballads and then build up with groovy pop songs and.... where the opportunity arises, as a duo we are even able
to get the guests moving with dance classics!
Before playing (intro), during the breaks and after the final set (outro), we provide an appropriate playlist, to keep the atmosphere going.
All this wrapped in professional light & sound.

Thus, in addition to jazz standards, songs by Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Rihanna,, Alicia Keys, Oleta Adams, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, but also Bill Withers, Al Green, The Isley Brothers, Stevie WonMichael Jackson, Pharell Williams, Maroon 5...., among others. and even Donna summer, Chaka Khan & Patti Labelle.

We had booked Sadie's Choice for ''the background'' of our dinner. They knew exactly what repertoire was appropriate and how to build the evening musically. First instrumental jazz, then singer Sadie joined us. The thinking along, both in preparation and on the evening itself and the flexible attitude to accommodate unplanned speakers made it incredibly pleasant to work with. Fantastic repertoire, beautiful voice and great musicians. Very friendly and professional. Evident that they can throw a good party too! They even provide a "bridge" to the DJ, who followed! Our guests are still talking about it! Absolutely recommended!
