Melancholic sounds from the Balkans, swinging music from the fifties and rousing rhythms from Latin America. You can't stay in your seat anymore, you have to dance!
The band members of Horaki, an amalgamation of the words 'Hora' (dance from Romania) and 'Raki' (an alcoholic beverage that is a favourite in many Balkan countries), together play some 27 different world instruments
The basic line-up is: violin/piano, accordion, double bass, guitar, percussion and vocals and is complemented by instruments that emphasize the character of the music, such as a darabuka or banjo
The band performs at weddings, parties, (international) festivals, on the streets, fairs and other occasions. Horaki wants to make every performance a party!
