This intimate chamber music setting consists of the two top musicians Ed Verhoeff and Paul Berner.

The strength of this duo lies in the simplicity and the line play of the guitar with the double bass that
fuse into one instrument. Starting from jazz, the duo is inspired by classical music, Americana, folk pop and Brazilian music. Both Ed and Paul are known for their lyrical and sensitive playing and are both able to sound like a vocalist. In this way they find each other and complement each other. Melodies get attention, there is beauty but also tension, friction. They musically go in search of the surprise. The music breathes, fascinates and comes very close. Ed Verhoeff has played with John Abercrombie, Hein van de Geijn, Gerard Presencer, Izaline Calister, Philip Catherine, Nueva Manteca and The Metropole Orchestra, among others.

Paul Berner / Double bass
Internationally acclaimed American double bass player Paul Berner, who chose his domicile in our country in 1990, is praised for his extremely musical, melodic and subtle playing. Beautiful melodies are the trademark of this bassist Paul Berner played in his American past with greats such as Lionel Hampton, Monty Alexander, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Peter Erskine, Les Paul and Joe Lovano.
