Guitarist, Ernest Dobber and violinist Frija Prins together form the duo Zig Zag Ziganes. Together they perform gypsy music and here and there they sometimes make excursions into other genres. Since the moment that Frija and Ernest met, they haven't been sitting still, so they also play together in the trio Zagan, which specializes in traditional klezmer music!

Born in 1965. Main instrument Double Bass, next to Bass Guitar & Guitar.
I play jazz, but also classical, pop-funk and theatre music. Experience with operetta productions, Musicals, Tango orchestra and various pop bands.
I am also a free-lance author. At EPN
publishers I worked on the teaching method music to measure. Now working on a series of new children's songs, texts and illustrations.
Besides being a musician I am also a teacher. I teach music at VMBO, guitar and (contra) bass for the music school. I also coordinate pop projects for the music school southeast in Amsterdam.
I also compose music for children but also for adults. On request I also write music for special occasions, parties, theme weeks and cross-disciplinary projects.

Op basis van onze informtie is het Ernest gelukt een grappig/mooi persoonlijk lied te schrijven. Het contact voorafgaand was heel prettig en het optreden was fantastisch!! De sfeer zat er goed in en hij kreeg iedereen mee. Een aanrader als je iemand in het zonnetje wil zetten/wil verassen. Nogmaals bedankt!

Ernest first performed on Klingelpoort for a small group of residents. They found it beautiful all those medieval songs with lute. Some residents could sing along. Then Ernest went to Hoogstede because there was the biggest group of residents. A compliment that Ernest was so flexible!

Another nice performance by the mistreel with lute. He played music at every table inside during the high tea. Afterwards he sang medieval songs for the residents outside. There is plenty of singing and clapping.

Because of the corona circumstances he could not sing, only make music. Together with the Lakekeeper we had booked he went to the living quarters It was also nice that he brought his girlfriend. She danced and clapped along in a medieval outfit Later that day the weather was better and they played and danced four songs with the lute for a small group of residents outside in the courtyard garden.

YELLOW THROAT. A few days before my mother-in-law's corona birthday I saw this nice musical option! Ernest nervously and several times contacted me to discuss the wishes and how we could make a good connection. This morning was the serenade for her 65th birthday. At the agreed time he called neatly via Skype. He explained the surprise and knew what nice words to say about the birthday boy and dressed it up. Short and powerful =. Start with a Happy birthday, Serenade (We practiced the chorus together so everyone could sing along, text I got later! ) ...children's song for the kids. ''Put on your ball gown''. The lyrics just hit my mother-in-law. Guitar. I don't understand how this act is so cheap. And further on in the booking I even got an extra discount. So don't be afraid of extra costs!
