Journalist/singer/television maker Mylène de la Haye, her favourite ex Jan Enklaar (mouth organ player) and Go Go dancer Chrisje present a festive repertoire of pop classics from their youth, translated by Mylène. The act is a feast of recognition, but original. Mylène sings her own translations of seventies and eighties songs and is assisted by mouth organ virtuoso Jan Enklaar and crowd pleaser and go-go dancer Chrisje (who holds up text boards so that people can sing along, see repertoire list). Last Sunday we attended our first musical performance of the year and what a performance, in intimate company a living room concert by Mylene and Jan. It was a pleasure to listen to the beautiful translations of well-known songs, the singing of Mylene, accompanied by Jan on the harmonica, moved us sometimes, but not only that, we also had to laugh about the humorous approach of some songs, we could also dance together, that was a long time ago! Really great, an afternoon full of fun, thank you Mylene and Jan!

If you're ready for an evening of unadulterated fun entertainment, invite Myléne de la Haye and her 'Jan'. Because this duo just comes to your house and blows the roof off in a very original way. Tasty recognizable blues and disco songs in a Dutch jacket which causes a lot of hilarity and funny moments. I think that nobody could translate the song 'Doctor Long John' of Bette Midler as well as the still as cheeky Mrs de la Haye. Did she used to come across as a rebel, count on it that she hasn't lost those traits and still shapes her performance just as directly. Combine this with her brave, raw voice, her sometimes funny then sexy appearance and the mouth organ solos of Jan and you're guaranteed a great performance for your friends. I write this in English because I'm South African but I understand Dutch, I just can't write it properly. I absolutely loved how the English hits were translated into Dutch. Not only is Mylene a wonderful singer but their Performance is so enjoyable to watch , They included the audience to sing with them and even dance! A lot of thought and effort has gone into their performance- Using boards and props for the audience to sing along and even customs changes throughout the act . I could have watched them sing for hours and still be entertained. Mylene and Jan definitely know how to work up a crowd both extremely talented performers. A wonderful atmosphere

Not only this is just a song concert - this is a real show! It will make you laugh, cry, and dance, depending on the song. Jan's back vocal and harmonica make the whole show very personal and special - their own way to look at the songs they love and make their friends and other people understand, what these songs mean to them. Long story short - if you need some more happiness and freedom in your life - this is definitely a way of decently and educated spend your time with a glass of wine and good music around

Last week I was allowed to attend a living room concert by Mylene and Jan. Together with go-go dancer Chrisje they gave a great performance. Close, humour, emotion, passion and love, interwoven in this intimate concert. Mylene translated beautiful songs into Dutch and brings them to the top again with her unique sound. And nobody plays Air Guitar as convincingly as Mylène!

Hits translated into Dutch, by Mylène herself.Suitable for small performances at people's homes or the longer version in theatres. Last week saturday we had the opportunity to attend a great performance by Mylene and Jan! Famous, swinging, songs from the 70's & 80's translated to Dutch; sometimes hilarious, sometimes beautiful and sensitive lyrics. Singing along, supported with song-signs by a funny assistant, made the party feeling complete! The beautiful voice of Mylene and the accompaniment of Jan with vocals and mouth organ made for a musical performance that belongs on a private party, a company party, gay bar and certainly on a festival like the Parade. Lovely at a party, also as a warm-up and to get in the mood during a night full of dancing, because during the performance it's hard to sit still and not to move your legs
