Jeroen van der Boom’s musical career began early; in 1996, he signed his first contract with EMI, where he released an album and several singles. Singing wasn’t his only talent—he soon began working at Veronica as well. There, he hosted the show *Call TV*, a game show in which viewers had to answer all kinds of quiz questions. After also hosting Real TV and Explosief, Jeroen decided in 2006 to found his own production company: Rebeltv & Events. With this move, Jeroen demonstrated that he is a true entrepreneur.

In 2007, Jeroen released his own version of Tom Jones’s song “She’s A Lady.” This did not go unnoticed; in fact, it led to him opening for the legendary singer himself.

His real breakthrough came in 2008 with the single “Jij Bent Zo.” The song shot to the number 1 spot on the Top 40 chart. The song also reached number one in Flanders. Six months after the release of “Jij Bent Zo,” the song was still on the charts, establishing Jeroen van der Boom as a household name in the Dutch music scene.

Jeroen didn’t stop there and followed up that same year with his next number-one hit: “Één Wereld.” In December, amid all the Christmas hits, this song still managed to reach the number-one spot. Like a true hit machine, Jeroen kept going, as “Het Is Over” and “Betekenis” also became major hits.

In late 2008, it was announced that Jeroen would be performing alongside René Froger and Gordon as part of De Toppers. They performed for the first time in this lineup at the Amsterdam ArenA in 2009.
In 2009, De Toppers competed in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Shine.” They placed 17th. Jeroen became a permanent member of De Toppers. During Toppers In Concert 2015, Jeroen sang a number of cover songs that were so well-received that they, too, became hits. Jeroen’s version of “Mag Ik Dan Bij Jou” by Claudia de Breij once again reached number one on the charts.
