Showbird has learned a lot about the success factors for an online booking, and we want to share it with you:
1. Respond to a request within 15 minutes (95% more likely to get a booking)
Artists who respond quickly have a much better chance of getting a booking.
Customers approach multiple artists at the same time and are impatient.
Customers often choose the first one who responds with a decent proposal.
2. Make sure your ShowBird agenda is up to date
Make sure your ShowBird agenda is up-to-date.
And make sure you max travel distance has been entered correctly.
This way you ensure that you do not have to reject any requests.
Artists who do not reject requests appear higher in the search results.
You can create your own online agenda link to your ShowBird agenda, or block individual blocks.
3. Post a video with your act (3x more bookings)
Acts with a video receive many more requests.
For customers this is a very important factor when choosing an act.
In your Act definition you can include Youtube/Vimeo share links.
4. Clear photos, complete text (2x more bookings)
Upload sharp photos (landscape, at least 765x430 pixels)
Think of keywords that your customers use and incorporate them into your text.
5. Do you have a musical act? Then add a playlist to your act.
Many customers are looking for an artist who can play their favorite songs.
Once you have added your songs, your act can also be found by artist + title of your songs.
Bonus: customers can even play a fragment of the song!
6. Choose the right price (2x more bookings)
Present your 'best-selling' variant on ShowBird.
Does your act price depend on various factors?
Specify this clearly in your act description.
The clearer your pricing, the sooner the customer books you.
7. Send external reviews to us
The chance of a booking is many times greater if you have (good) reviews.
Have you received (reliable) reviews from customers yourself?
Send them to
This also applies to performances booked outside of ShowBird. Check how here.
