How do I request an act?

Artists present themselves on our platform. So you apply directly to the artist.
Enter the desired date and time on the relevant act page. Is the act available?
Click on [request act]. Then fill in the request form and click [send].
Every request you make is without obligation. Read more about how our independent platform works.
TIP: make multiple requests for a better chance of a match.

How much does ShowBird cost?

Nothing at all, using ShowBird is free for customers!

What info does the artist need?

Global info about your event, plus any question/comment for the artist.
The request form has various fields with the required information.

I have submitted a request, what can I expect?

The artist will respond to your request as soon as possible:

  • Send Proposal
  • Sends chat message
  • Reject request

Your request will be sent directly to the artist (or their personal manager).
Artists respond fairly quickly to a request: usually within 4 hours, but at the latest within 24 hours.

Is a request binding?

No, every request is without obligation. An Agreement between you and the artist is only created when a booking is made.

 Can I find my request?

Yes, you can. You can find all your requests in your ShowBird account under Requests.
You will also receive an email with a shipping confirmation for each request.

Can I withdraw my request?

Yes, you can. Go to the page with your Request and click [Request] for the correct act.
Then click on [cancel request] at the bottom left.

Have you already booked another act for the same time? Or is there another reason that you no longer want to book the act? Then withdraw your request. It is important that you do this in time, so that the artist no longer has to take your request into account.

What if the artist rejects my request?

We will send you alternative acts. You will receive this by e-mail and you can then request it yourself.

If an artist does not have his ShowBird agenda up-to-date, it can happen that he is unexpectedly unavailable. The request will then be rejected. You will receive an email with the reason for rejection. If the date is the issue, consider applying for a different date.

The artist will send you an 'official' proposal back. You will receive a notification email.
You can then make the decision whether you want to book the act definitively.
