My Profile

  • Your profile contains the necessary information to be able to request/book.

Where can I find my Profile?

Your profile is part of your personal pages on ShowBird. Are you logged in? Then you will see your name at the top of every page. Click on your name and select [My Profile] in the drop-down menu.

What data did my profile contain?

Your name and address (name, address, company name, billing address).
Linked agent (if applicable)
Settings, such as: language, max travel distance and cancellation policy.
You can also set a profile picture and Alias.

Who will see this data?

Only you can view your profile page. When you interact with a client as an artist, we only show your first name (or your alias, if entered). ShowBird only provides the customer with your contact details when a booking has been confirmed. We handle your data with care. For more information, see our privacy statement.

What is an Alias / Who can see my alias?

An Alias is another name you are known by, such as a stage name. When you interact with a client as an artist, we only show your alias. Filling in via an Alias is not mandatory.

Do I have to upload a profile picture?

Uploading a profile picture is not mandatory. It does make your account a little more personal

What is meant by maximum travel distance?

The maximum travel distance means the maximum distance you want to travel for a performance. Customers enter the location of their event when they make a request. Customers can then only request you if the event falls within your maximum travel distance.

Please note: coordinates are used (read straight line from A to B). The actual route via the road network may differ, so please take this into account when calculating your travel costs. Travel costs can be adjusted manually, including any parking costs. We recommend always checking the effort, especially for underground distances. 150 km as the crow flies is the maximum travel distance within the area where ShowBird is active.

What happens with long distance performance?

The customer will be notified if the travel costs of the most artistic item are 20% or higher compared to the size. This allows the customer to keep the artist's high travel expense account.

What about my privacy?

When communicating with others, we only show your first name (or your alias). Some profile data is necessary for the proper functioning of the site. Only with a booking will your other profile data be used to draw up the contract. We handle your personal data with care. You can read more information in our privacy statement.

My Act(s)

  • Your act presentation is your business card to customers, your chance to stand out.
  • Make a dazzling act presentation and increase the chance of a booking.
  • Give customers a good idea of what they can expect from your performance.

Where can I find 'My Acts'?

You can find your Act(s) in your personal ShowBird account. Are you logged in? Then click on your name and then select [My Acts] in the drop-down menu. Here you will find all your Act(s), including those that are not published.

How do I add an act?

Click on the [+ new act] button at the top right of your [my acts] page to add a new act. The act presentation form is then activated. In it you can describe your act, add photos and videos and specify settings for your act. New acts are first checked by the Showbird editors. This process lasts no later than 5 working days.

Is my act immediately visible on ShowBird?

In the act presentation form you can indicate whether you want to request publication or if you don't want to publish it yet. It is wise to first look at what your act presentation looks like before you request publication. On the [my acts] page you see the act that you have just added. You can view what your act is going for customers via the Preview Link. Is everything okay? Then don't forget to request publication. New acts are first checked by the Showbird editors. This process lasts no later than 5 working days.

How do I see if my act is online?

Click on [My acts]. If you see a green dot to the right of your act, your act has been published on ShowBird.

Can I add multiple acts?

That is certainly possible. You can add as many acts as you want. For example, do you play in a band, but are you also an excellent solo artist and can you also dance like Michael Jackson? Then add all these acts separately under [My acts].

Can I add multiple categories to my act?

Under the heading [Type of act] you can indicate one category. What type of act are we talking about here? Choose the category that best applies to your act. This choice helps you to be found better. In some cases you can also add the style of your act.

Example: your act type is singer and your style is Country.

My category is not listed, what now?

Choose a category that is most similar to yours. Also send an e-mail with your desired category via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Suggestions are always worth investigating.

How can I add a video to my act(s)?

In the Act presentation form you will find the [+ Video] button. Click on this and you can paste a Youtube or Vimeo embed link in the input field. Note: the embed link is different from the normal 'share' link. You can find it on Youtube/Vimeo. For the video in question, choose Share > Embed

My photos are not coming out well, what now?

Tips for good photos are:

  • Choose a horizontal/landscape photo
  • Choose a sharp photo
  • Choose a photo that clearly shows what your act is

How can I change my added act(s)?

Go to [My acts] and click on the blue [edit] button next to the act you want to change. The Act presentation form is activated again and you can adjust your act there.

What price do I set for my act?

As an artist you can determine your own price.

Can I delete an act?

Yes, you can unpublish an act, but you can also delete it permanently. Go to [My acts] and choose 'change' for the relevant act. At the bottom of the form you will find the 'delete act' button. Note: you can only delete an act if there is no open application or active proposal. Make sure you've dealt with that one first.

Tip: you can also temporarily unpublish an act. All information will then continue to exist, but you will not be found on ShowBird until you manually publish the act again.

My Agenda

  • Easily indicate when you are and are not available to perform.
  • Artists who keep their agenda up-to-date are rewarded and are easier to find!

Where can I find My Calendar?

Your 'Agenda' is part of your personal pages on ShowBird. Are you logged in? Then you will see your name at the top of every page. Click on your name and select [Agenda] in the drop-down menu.

Why do I need to keep track of my calendar?

Keeping your calendar up to date is important. This way you ensure that you can only be requested for times when you are actually available. It's frustrating for customers when their requests are rejected because artists aren't available. Moreover, artists who keep track of their agenda are easier to find on the website.

How do I indicate when I am not available?

Go to [My Calendar] and click on 'settings' at the top right. You can now indicate which days and times you are available. You can also indicate the minimum time between a request and a performance and the minimum time between two performances.

Can I link my own agenda to ShowBird?

Yes, you can link your personal online agenda to your ShowBird account. Appointments are then automatically included as 'occupied' in the ShowBird calendar. Pairing is arranged in a few minutes. This way your online ShowBird agenda is always up-to-date and you don't have to update it manually. Win-win for everyone. See here step by step how to link your agenda.

I am not available on fixed days, can I easily indicate this?

You can link your personal calendar to your ShowBird calendar. Appointments are then automatically included as 'occupied' in the ShowBird calendar. You can also specify your fixed days that you are not available.

Can I also block individual moments?

Yes, that's possible. Double-click on the time you are unavailable. You can then specify the exact time for the block. You can also specify whether the block is one-time or recurring.

Can others view my calendar?

No, customers do not see your calendar. They just can't request you at times when your agenda is blocked/busy.

Do requests/bookings automatically appear in my calendar?

Yes, you can easily recognize these by the different colors:

  • Pink = request
(you can still be requested for this moment, the customer will see that you are already in option).
  • Blue = proposal
(you can still be requested for this moment, the customer will see that you are already in option).
  • Green = booking
(you are blocked/occupied and can no longer be requested for this moment).

Can I enable my act to perform multiple bookings on the same date + time?

It may be that your act can be used more than once at the same time. For example, if you have a large pool of hostesses, your act can be used twice. Are you such a party? Please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. We can activate this 'under water' for your act(s).
