Professional musician and trumpeter Gert Ekkelboom from the East Dutch town of Haaksbergen has an overcrowded agenda in these "difficult" times. Besides the bookings for his Onemaband and his Duo- and Partyband Ekkelboom many extra requests come in from people who want to book him as a trumpet act at parties. Apparently trumpet is allowed again. "More than ever, people are looking for fun and emotion again. Many are fed up with the fashionable DJ-violence and want to hear and see live music again", says a super motivated Gert. He gets requests from the Netherlands and Belgium but also the German public has discovered him. Gert performs an act of about 20-30 minutes with orchestral bands made by himself in his well-equipped studio. He has developed a completely unique sound which, given the many reactions, is very much appreciated by his audience.

Gert is currently working on an instrumental Trumpet CD album and also has a number of video clips in preparation.

Gert Ekkelboom plays 99% at private parties such as; (jubilee) weddings, birthdays (people turning 40, 50, 65 years old etc.), fashion shows and company parties. These parties are of course only for guests of the client.

Public performances such as Dancing Evenings can of course be visited (usually against entrance because we are hired by the venue owner in question). Occasionally we perform in public such as shopping malls, markets and fairs and in Overdinkel in the music dome. These performances are therefore free (without entrance) to attend.
