Giedre Mundinaite-Leenhouwers is a young Lithuanian who discovered a love for the violin when she was only 6 years old. Coming from a family with an engineer father and a mother who is a figure skater, she has never given up her passion for music. In 1991 Giedrė began studying at the Gymnasium of Music in Kaunas, Lithuania, majoring in violin, and in 2003 she continued at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, where she graduated with top marks. As the best student in her department, Giedrė was offered a scholarship to further develop her knowledge and skills beyond the country's borders. This brought her to the Netherlands in 2005 where she studied at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music. Here she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in both violin playing and teaching.

During her career, Giedrė has become a finalist and winner of national and international competitions, played solo recitals and chamber music concerts in various countries. She was privileged to play in such famous venues as the Berliner Philharmonie and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Giedrė played as a soloist with orchestras and as a member of several orchestras for various famous people and royalties such as our own King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima during the inauguration concert in 2013 in Amsterdam.

From 2010 Giedrė was violinist in the world famous orchestra of André Rieu, where she toured around the world for 6 years

Currently, Giedrė performs among others as a regular violinist with Danny Vera and shines on the biggest stages and events in the Netherlands, including Vrienden van Amstel Live, The Streamers, Groots met een zachte G, Pinkpop and Concert at Sea.

Besides a rich portfolio of worldwide performances, she also enchants audiences at the most prestigious corporate events with her stunning performances and unparalleled talent (e.g. CIO DAY events, Sunweb, Boschendal etc.).
