William Smulders has years of experience as an artist and has reached many highlights. Elvis Aaron Presley[note 1] (Tupelo, Mississippi, January 8, 1935 - Memphis, Tennessee, August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. He is often called The King of Rock and Roll or The King for short and is considered one of the most significant cultural icons of the twentieth century.
Presley was born in Tupelo in the state of Mississippi and moved with his family to Memphis, Tennessee when he was 13 years old. His musical career began in 1953 when he recorded a song at the later Sun Studio that was released on Sam Phillips' Sun Records. Accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black, Presley became an early popularizer of rockabilly, an uptempo, backbeat-driven fusion of country and rhythm-and-blues. The record company RCA Victor took over his contract in a deal prepared by Colonel Tom Parker, who would serve as the singer's manager for more than two decades.
Presley's first single That's All Right was released in July 1954. This was followed by the release of Heartbreak Hotel, an American number one hit, in January 1956. After a series of successful television appearances and records that reached the top of the sales charts, he was regarded as rock 'n' roll's most prominent figure. His energetic interpretations of songs and sexually provocative stage performances, coupled with a remarkably appealing fusion of multi-ethnic influences that coincided with the rise of the civil rights movement, made him at once enormously popular and controversial. America just after World War II experienced great economic growth, with young people having more to spend. Individual development gradually became more important and so a youth culture emerged with various subcultures that opposed the older generation. Presley was the embodiment of this and thus became the first pop idol.
In November 1956 he made his debut as an actor in the movie Love Me Tender. In 1958 he was called up for military service. Two years later, he resumed his recording career, producing some of his most commercially successful work, before devoting most of the 1960s to making films and their accompanying soundtrack albums, most of which were cracked by critics. After seven years of no live performances, he returned to the stage in 1968 in the television comeback special Elvis

At first we hesitated to hire a band at our wedding, but how glad we are that we did! It made the party complete. William and the band were fantastic and created a great atmosphere! The dance floor was well filled with all ages :). Communication beforehand with William was smooth via whatsapp. From the guests we received nothing but praise for the music! We had Williams and Lieke join us last Saturday for a performance for our guests at the Bossche Kelders. Besides the fact that we enjoyed the music, the professional attitude of the band and their sound engineer was super. Our location is in a vaulted cellar so all equipment had to go downstairs. This was no problem. Our guests were very enthusiastic about the music and danced a lot. They really made it a party. Hope to see you soon at the next fine collaboration. (and another beer).
