Wout began his singing career some 30 years ago with a modest repertoire. He mainly sang songs by René Froger and a diverse selection of Dutch and foreign artists. Soon he became a popular support act for artists such as André Hazes, Anita Meyer and Wolter Kroes.
The road to success began in pubs and soon expanded to all kinds of locations, from kitchens to living rooms and backyards to sports clubs such as field hockey, soccer and tennis clubs. But also larger events including a live concert in "de Vorstin ". Wout is known for his personal and warm performances, in which his versatile repertoire of Dutch sing-alongs and dance classics is always popular.
Over the years Wout has not only conquered the hearts of adults, but also the youth. His regular appearances at Café de Boemel in Bussum, the regular pub of the young people of Gooi, have made him popular among the young generation. In addition, he often performs at student associations, including once at the well-known "Vindicat" association.
