Who said only dads can play #dadrock! Four young musicians with wide pipes, cowboy boots, and long hair from Brighton (UK) play 70s Rock 'Classics' & 'Deep Cuts'. Imagine yourself back in the 70s for one night and (re)experience the glory days of Rock, when guitarists were worshipped as gods, and bands were equal to religions.

-Introductory

Hey Vintage Voltage here, a 70s Rock Experience band from Brighton (UK). We are here to prove that not only old men with wigs can play #dadrock! To be clear, we love our dads (and their wigs) and wouldn't be playing this music if they hadn't inspired us. That said, we think we appeal to a larger and younger audience than they do, since we are all under 30 and fortunately can still unbutton our shirts like Page and Plant from Zeppelin used to ... During our performances, we take the audience back in time to (re)experience the heyday of Rock together; when guitarists were gods and bands were religions. We play both 'classics' and 'deep cuts' from bands such as Led Zeppelin, Free, Sabbath, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Queen and many more ...

-Short Biography-

The band was founded by our guitarist and bandleader Folly den Toom. He is originally from Zeeland but moved to Brighton at eighteen to study music and pursue his passion. His father (who also plays in bands) has a love for 70s Rock, Blues, and Prog which Folly adopted. During a music-oriented trip through America a few years ago (with Leo Blokhuis and Jean-Paul Heck as guides), he came up with the idea for Vintage Voltage. After seeing a concert on Broadway in Nashville, he was positively surprised and amazed to see young bands of high quality playing music that he thinks is cool, real 70s Rock!

Folly has enjoyed going to concerts of his heroes for years, but the sad fact is that his heroes are falling over one by one. Of course, there are plenty of tribute and cover bands active in Europe, but the fact is that most of them are older and the quality is not always great. If you see a Led Zeppelin tribute with a man of 50 - 60 like Robert Plant ... (no matter how good he may sing) maybe a button goes off ... not the whole shirt. That's where Vintage Voltage wants to fill the gap in the market, good young musicians with a passion for 70s music who want to (re)introduce both young and old to real music from long before computers and autotune.
Don't expect us to show up in suits ... But in wide-legged pants, cowboy boots, and enough long hair to make rapunzel jealous ...

-Repertoire-

We have a long list of songs that we have in our repertoire. We normally put together our own set list, tailored to the specific occasion. After years of playing in bands, we know what an audience responds well to. If there is enough time (not for last-minute bookings), we can also prepare a request (or two), as long as they fall within our style (if you ask us, the best period for music is 67' - 78' ). We also have a large existing repertoire that we already know from which you can request specific songs.

-Gage & Lineups-

We can play with 4 or 5 musicians (with additional keys). This does affect the overall price. Depending on where your event is, travel costs also change. You will also need to provide or pay for accommodation as we travel from Brighton, UK.

The prices below exclude the 10% that Showbird charges for their services**

Sets can be divided differently (for example, 2 x 1 hour or 3 x 40 minutes).
