Blind Dive is a blind dive into my track list of over 3,000 tracks, all genres of electronic music except contemporary hits. So too from all parts of the world. From South America to Australia (right then ;) From Psytrance to Club House from the 90's played on the beaches and in the Amsterdam (underground) scene.

If you book me, you will go on a Blind Dive with me on your occasion. A nice dive takes at least 2 hours.

3 years ago I started learning to knead my beloved electronic music on a DJ Controller, the DDJ-200 (for kids and novice DJs, so to speak). Now very happy with my XDJ-RX3.
Spinning I really did for me. 1.000 hours for myself, 10 at a party. It contributed greatly to my personal development.

I have now found my own style. Blind Dive came into being, because I increasingly enjoyed listening to my own sets or (new) music on Spotify.

N.B. I secretly do have them, those hits. On request, if it suits the moment, I will pop one in between. Thanks to Joep van Weert , on his stick, which I was allowed to copy, there are thousands of 'hits' - and I like surprises in between, that everyone wonders "How did we get to Hazes?" and then continues where we left off.

When I start a Blind Dive (for myself, or for a party), I feel my heartbeat at that moment and the emotion to it, sort by BPM (heartbeat, so to speak) and find a track that touches me (and then usually the rest who are at that party with me), choose the next track that also fits the energy of the 1st track and make a plan for those 2. I set that plan and then can quietly get into the 1st 2. Everything that follows is intuitive, sometimes with a mistake, but that's what I do at parties too, sometimes making a mistake... most don't even notice it, or they do, then we all laugh for a while.

Then we all, including myself, get what we need: to forget for a moment all about yesterday and tomorrow and experience a very special afternoon/evening/night together.

I'm Joris Bots, born in '71, father of three children, co-owner of EventSummit, the trade show for the event industry. EventSummit is an annual event in Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Since 1999 I have been active in the various corners of this wonderful industry, and now I am also moving into it as an artist. An exciting step, but I like exciting.
