Magatama: a student band from Delft with a diverse repertoire on the
interface of Jazz, Pop and Rock. Since January 2018, this band has been working on
a performance with a colorful mix of genres, which has something to offer both the enthusiastic dancer and the trained listener.
Magatama is a Delft student band with a diverse repertoire at the intersection of Jazz, Pop and Rock. Magatama is inspired by virtuoso artists such as Snarky Puppy, Steely Dan and Weather Report, but we also play covers of more danceable pieces, such as Higher Ground - Stevie Wonder in a new guise by Dave Weckl and Jay Oliver.
