We are a professional string duo, coming from a classical background and characterised by its versatility. With a wide repertoire to offer, from classical to pop, rock, disco, among others, we can help you choosing the most suitable repertoire for your wedding ceremony, cocktail or event.
About us:
Alessandra and Laura studied in Codarts (Rotterdam). In the past years, we performed in several venues, as classical musicians inside professional orchestras, such as Noordpool Orkest or Sinfonia Rotterdam among others; as chamber musicians, performing with our duo, but also in TV shows such as Op zoek Naar.
We collaborate with artists, arranging, composing and recording music. We make our own arrangements for the songs requested.

La Folia Duo is a professional music duo that knows how to create the best atmosphere with their lovely music. Laura and Alessandra are two very talented ladies. Laura plays the Cello and Alessandra the violin. The cello and violin are the perfect combination. My partner and I felt that we found the perfect duo for our intimate wedding celebration. We were very grateful that Laura and Alessandra were available to play on our special day. We booked La Folia Duo to play for our guests prior to our ceremony, during the wedding processional and the recessional. Communication prior to the event went very smoothly. Laura responds very swiftly and therefore it was very comfortable to coordinate. We requested three songs for the ceremony which was no issue for them to execute. Prior to the ceremony Laura and Alessandra played a great self-created repertoire. A beautiful mix of classical pieces and pop. Our guests were very pleasantly surprised with their performance. Thank you again, Laura and Alessandra, for creating a beautiful atmosphere with your music and uplift our special day. We highly recommend booking them for your event, it will be a guaranteed success!
