De Handroll koning(in) loopt met een speciaal ʻbuikdienbladʼ tussen de mensen. Het buikdienblad is voorzien van allerlei dagverse ingrediënten die nodig zijn om een heerlijke handroll (te maki) te maken. Een handroll is een puntzakje van nori (zeewier) gevuld met rijst en diverse verse ingrediënten, zoals tonijn, zalm, crab, ei en komkommer.
Handrolls zijn het lekkerst als ze meteen worden gegeten nadat ze zijn gemaakt, dan is de nori (zeewier) nog knapperig. Naar eigen smaak kan sojasaus of wasabi toegevoegd worden. Omdat de handrolls ter plaatse gemaakt worden is het geen enkel probleem om eventueel
een ingrediënt toe te voegen of weg te laten. Alles is mogelijk!
