Gypsy Jazz Gitaristen Carlo Gentenaar en Mick Verweij spelen samen in trio Duende en zijn daarnaast als duo te boeken. Dit akoestische gitaar duo speelt sfeervolle en swingende achtergrondmuziek. Het warme, niet overheersende karakter van de akoestische gitaren maakt dit duo zeer geschikt als muzikale omlijsting van bruiloften, bedrijfsfeesten, borrels en recepties!
Het repertoire van gitaar akoestisch gitaar duo Duende is een bloemlezing van gypsy jazz favorieten uit het oeuvre van Django Reinhardt & the Hot Club de France aangevuld met swing en latin jazz standards uit the American songbook. Vrolijke swing ritmes voeren de boventoon en worden afgewisseld met bevlogen bossa’s, rhumba’s, bolero’s en soms een wals.
Duo Duende kan indien gewenst geheel akoestisch optreden maar waar mogelijk spelen we graag licht versterkt om wat meer spreiding aan het geluid te geven, de volumes van de instrumenten op elkaar af te stemmen en waar nodig het totaal volume aan te passen. Het akoestische karakter blijft daarbij behouden en gesprekken blijven mogelijk.
Door de compacte bezetting en het akoestische karakter van de instrumenten
is Duende zeer geschikt als muzikale omlijsting van bruiloften, recepties, borrels, verjaardagen, wijnproeverijen, bedrijfsfeesten en andere kleinschalige evenementen. Versterkt kunnen de opzwepende ritmes op grotere podia ook voor dansplezier zorgen op grotere evenementen zoals markten, braderieën, foodtruck festivals en natuurlijk muziek festivals.
Ritme gitarist Mick Verweij is afkomstig uit Nijmegen en leadgitarist Carlo Gentenaar woont in Ede.
