ADHD, hoogbegaafdheid en autisme. In het onderwijs weten we wel raad met labeltjes en onderwijsbehoeften. Maar op de werkvloer kunnen "neurospicey" medewerkers een uitdaging zijn. Sofie maakte zelf van haar uitdaging haar kracht en deelt graag hoe!
Neurodiversiteit is er niet alleen in het kinderbrein. We vergeten wel eens dat alle kinderen groot worden en dan met hun bijzonderheden in het bedrijfsleven terecht komen. Want ja, volwassenen met bijvoorbeeld ADHD bestaan ook.
Het zijn creatieve, enthousiaste en betrokken, actieve medewerkers. Maar soms ook chaotisch en heel erg druk. Hoe kan je er voor zorgen dat niet alleen de medewerker zich aanpast, met veel druk en soms uitval tot gevolg, maar dat ook de werkvloer deze medewerkers beter begrijpt en aanpassingen doet zodat zij tot bloei kunnen komen?
Sofie legt graag uit hoe de meest bekende neurodiverse breinen ( adhd, autisme, hoogbegaafdheid) werken én optimaal tot hun recht komen zodat het een kwaliteit en geen handicap
wordt.
Sofie is in de media als onderwijsspecialist verbonden aan Algemeen Dagblad en Radio 1 en er is een documentaire over haar werk gemaakt die terug te zien is bij NPO, Utopie van Sofie. Ze werkt al ruim 15 jaar in het onderwijs en heeft diverse projecten opgezet voor dubbelbijzondere leerlingen die hoogbegaafd zijn en een andere uitdaging hebben. Ze werd landelijk bekend als juf Sofie na de documentaire "Utopie van Sofie" waar haar "anders zijn" haar kracht en valkuil bleek.

Sofie gave a lecture for the CNV leadership lab on the do's and dont's of a school leader. She knows better than anyone else what a teacher wants from a school leader because of her years of practical experience. In addition, she is theoretically well versed. Moreover, she knows how to constantly captivate the audience and keep their attention with her sparkling way of presenting. Her sense of humor certainly helps with that!
