Memphis Soul Stew staat voor een uitgebalanceerde stoofschotel rijk op smaak gebracht met al die typische ‘Southern’ ingrediënten die samenkomen vanuit de wijde Memphis-Tennessee-regio.
De rauwe basis met het zoutje en het zuurtje is de blues, het zoetje is de gospel, in balans gebracht door de Rhythm & Blues met de aardse tonen van de country.
En in al haar facetten op smaak gebracht met soul, heel veel soul.
De Memphis Soul Stew speelt niet een reeks van de grote hits uit de enorm rijke ‘Memphis legacy’, dit zou ook ondoenlijk zijn; het is een doordacht en uitgebalanceerd menu van meer- of minder bekende nummers, waarbij in ieder nummer de diepte en verfijndheid van de eerder genoemde stoofschotel wordt ‘opgediend’.
Ga mee op deze muzikale (en culinaire) reis naar-, in- en om- Memphis en laat je figuurlijk onderdompelen en meevoeren in de diepe krochten van deze
historische stad.

In Katwijk enjoyed a good blues band that gave a wonderful performance that did not leave the dance floor unused. And also not unimportant, pleasant musicians who do not ask the main price.

Robbert Fossen and his band played the roof of the house on Sunday. It was a Sunday afternoon but that was nowhere to be seen, people flew onto the dance floor and enjoyed the show from start to finish. The finest blues classics passed by and are performed with honor by Robbert and his very good band.
