Met dit kwartet boekt u gegarandeerd een dynamisch, vrolijk en swingend optreden.
Het publiek wordt meegenomen naar de sfeer van de swingende jaren dertig in New Orleans met hits uit die tijd. Het kwartet speelt liedjes van o.a. Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman en Duke Ellington op saxofoon, trompet, gitaar contrabas. Maar deze band heeft ook nog eens 2 zangers omdat zowel de gitarist als de contrabassiste zelf zingen. Veelal tweestemmig zingen ze liedjes die bekend zijn van Billie Holiday, Cab Calloway en Ella Fitzgerald, zoals bijvoorbeeld ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’, ‘Happy Feet’ en ‘Exactly like you’, ‘It don’t mean a thing’, ‘Take the A train’ en ‘Saint Louis Blues’.
Het is onmogelijk stil te blijven zitten bij de opzwepende live muziek van deze band.
De virtuoze trompettist Menno Daams en de lyrische saxofonist Ronald Jansen Heijtmajer beheersen de stijl als geen ander.
Onze optredens duren meestal ruim tweeënhalf uur (recepties, festivals etc), dan spelen wij 3 sets van 35 minuten, de rest is pauze. MAAR HIEROVER VALT TE OVERLEGGEN.
Wij nemen onze eigen professionele geluidsset mee, dat zit bij de prijs inbegrepen.
Ieder jaar speelt deze band tijdens het Red Light Jazz Festival op de Zeedijk in Amsterdam.
Met compacte apparatuur en accu's op wieltjes, verplaatsen wij ons makkelijk tussen bijvoorbeeld winkelend publiek, op markten of andere terreinen.
