Ik ben Katerina, ik ben 29 jaar oud en ik ben een celliste! Ik heb klassieke muziek gestudeerd aan de HKU en ik wil graag muziek maken op nieuwe plekken en in nieuwe zalen. Ik speel klassieke en akoestische muziek, maar ik kan verschillende muziekgenres uitproberen!
Ik begon cello te spelen toen ik zes jaar oud was, en ik werd er meteen verliefd op. Ik wist eigenlijk al dat ik professioneel muzikant wilde worden op het moment dat ik mijn eerste noot speelde! Nadat ik mijn muziekstudie in Griekenland had afgerond, besloot ik dat ik de wereld rond wilde reizen om de perfecte plek te vinden waar ik mijn studie kon voortzetten en mijn cellospel erbij kon betrekken. Ik ging op reis en vond Utrecht als de plek waar ik naar op zoek was!
Ik behaalde mijn Bachelor aan het Utrechts Conservatorium na vier jaar oefenen en het ontmoeten van nieuwe mensen en muziekervaringen. Na mijn Bachelor heb ik een jaar gestudeerd aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium
van Brussel. Vanaf dit jaar ben ik van plan om terug te gaan naar mijn geliefde stad Utrecht en opnieuw mijn masterstudie aan de HKU voort te zetten.
Naast mijn studie speel ik op diverse podia in Nederland, ben ik lid van kamermuziekensembles, neem ik deel aan semi-professionele orkesten en geef ik privéles aan iedereen die graag cello wil spelen!

Katerina, thank you for your beautiful Bach music! Wonderful to play in that place. Heard from many that they enjoyed it. I had to laugh at what you called "happy Bach music " to play at the beginning when the visitors walked in; it certainly is! Your addition with the performance of two serious pieces by Bach for cello at noon was a success. The audience listened silently!

Katerina played incredibly beautifully on her beloved Cello on the occasion of my parents' 60th anniversary. She came all the way by train to South Limburg. In the shade of the tree she played a prearranged mix of classical, romantic and festive pieces. The family and friends, young and old, enjoyed themselves. The highlight was of course when my father, completely moved, grabbed my mother's hand upon hearing Bizet's Carmen. Thank you Katerina!
