'Sadie & The Pianist' is een 'soul & jazz' duo, dat jazz standards & soulvolle popsongs speelt, ideaal voor de intiemere setting, waarbij smooth jazz & groovy soul op de achtergrond een warme sfeer creëert voor jouw event vb. borrel, diner, receptie en netwerkbijeenkomst, maar ook voor ceremonies.
WIE WE ZIJN:
Dit internationaal spelend duo, wont in 2020 in Suriname de Touch of Jazz Award voor hun eigen interpretatie van een song van soul & jazz legende Gregory Porter. (zie video)
Soul-zangeres Sadie, die o.a. in The North Sea Jazz Club speelde met de Amerikaanse soul & jazz-zanger Frank McComb (zie video), brengt nu samen met haar fantastische pianist Theo Maria Boddeke (speelde o.a. met Berget Lewis, Glennis Grace en Candy Dulfer), eigenwijze, jazzy, soulvolle interpretaties van bekende popsongs.
ONS 'SOUL & JAZZ' CONCEPT:
We beginnen met instrumentale jazz op de achtergrond en voegen geleidelijk soulvolle ballads toe om vervolgens op te bouwen met groovy popsongs en... zijn daar waar de gelegenheid zich voordoet, er als duo zelfs in
staat de gasten in beweging te brengen met dance-classics!
Vóór het spelen (intro), tijdens de pauzes en na de laatste set (outro), zorgen wij voor een passende playlist, om de sfeer erin te houden.
Dit alles gehuld in professioneel licht & geluid.
REPERTOIRE:
Zo komen er naast jazz-standards, ook songs voorbij van o.a. Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Rihanna,, Alicia Keys, Oleta Adams, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, maar ook Bill Withers, Al Green, The Isley Brothers, Stevie WonMichael Jackson, Pharell Williams, Maroon 5.... en zelfs Donna summer, Chaka Khan & Patti Labelle.

We had booked Sadie's Choice for ''the background'' of our dinner. They knew exactly what repertoire was appropriate and how to build the evening musically. First instrumental jazz, then singer Sadie joined us. The thinking along, both in preparation and on the evening itself and the flexible attitude to accommodate unplanned speakers made it incredibly pleasant to work with. Fantastic repertoire, beautiful voice and great musicians. Very friendly and professional. Evident that they can throw a good party too! They even provide a "bridge" to the DJ, who followed! Our guests are still talking about it! Absolutely recommended!
