Christiaan de Jong switch zonder moeite tussen jazz, klassiek en flamenco gitaar. Bekende nummers als Blue Bossa, Lullaby in Birdland, Girl of Ipanema, My Favourite things a la Joe pass of Sylvain Luc, maar ook werken van F. Sor, F. Tarrega, H. Villa Lobos, A. Piazzolla of A. Lauro, L. de Nervaez of D. Scarlatti, J..S. Bach, traditionele Spaanse flamenco, tango of zijn eigen jazzy flamenco of door Bossa Nova geïnspireerde improvisaties.
Zeer geschikt voor speciale momenten op de voorgrond of juist als sfeer zetter op de achergrond, prive feesten, trouw ceremonies, de huiskamer, kerkjes, tuinen, galeries, musea..... Bij bruiloften speelt hij meestal rustige muziek zoals Romance Anónimo of een prelude van J.S. Bach en daarna tijdens
de receptie meer (Latin) jazz en of flamenco. Op aanvraag bewerkt hij soms ook (pop) nummers voor de gelegenheid. Hij brengt meestal zijn eigen zeer heldere versterkertje mee, dat zorgt voor een warm en natuurlijk geluid.

Christiaan de Jong is een internationale artiest en een van de weinige Nederlandse gitaristen, gespecialiseerd in jazz en geïmproviseerde muziek op de Spaanse gitaar. Hij speelde met musici als Oene van Geel, Eric Vloeimans, Harry Sparnaay en als solist met orkest in Spanje, Finland, Italië en Duitsand Hij speelt ook graag een solo concert, niet alleen in zalen, maar ook kerkjes, pleinen en huiskamers. Eigen werk en improvisaties, invloeden van jazz, avant-garde klassiek, flamenco, Latin, Arabische muziek. Spannende virtuoze momenten afgewisseld met juist introverte rust. Eventueel speciaal voor de gelegenheid gecomponeerde stukken.

For my birthday we organized a party in a café with hall. During the buffet, Christiaan played beautiful flamenco repertoire and was classical repertoire. Sometimes it was a little too loud but the acoustics were not great. A nice performance, thank you!

The performance exceeded my expectations. After some extra google in which I could hear a lot of work and was impressed by the high quality, this was fully realized on the spot. Also in the contact beforehand and on the spot great professionalism. It was a wedding with 65 people, christian played for 3 hours with only a short break during dinner and welcomed evening guests in a garden with a subtle amplifier perfectly tuned in terms of sound level. Very laudatory feedback from all wedding guests. In short: certain quality and professionalism, a strong asset for every occasion!
