Een gevarieerd liedjesprogramma met Nederlandstalige liedjes - en soms 'n chanson. Liedjes over vreugde en verdriet, de reis door het leven en natuurlijk liefde, die op zoveel manieren bezongen kan worden.
Accordeonist Hans van der Maas en singer/songwriter Anne-Tjerk Mante nemen je mee op een reis langs verschillende eigen liedjes. Tussen de liedjes door komen de kleine verhalen. Iets over de liedjes, iets uit het leven gegrepen, of directe interactie met de zaal. Wie wordt er nou verliefd op een schilderij? Hoe zit het met dat liedje dat geen kerstlied wilde worden? En wat is het verhaal achter 'Iedereen is blij'? Een lekker vlot liedjesprogramma, met een vleug kleinkunst en veel speelplezier.

Anne-Tjerk gave us half an hour of cabaret at the babyshower of our friend via Zoom. He gave 4 "baby talks" from his own experience mixed with personal information about her. The talks were alternated with a song. Very diverse, very valuable that a personal interaction is possible. She has enjoyed it. Anne-Tjerk was pleasant to deal with. Everything was possible, takes the time for you and tests the sound well beforehand. Highly recommended for anyone who wants something original and personal in these times. My compliments, we enjoyed it.

Anne-Tjerk Mante was present at the first Poëzie Op Pootjes Open Podium as a poet. But this man from The Hague can do more than just poetry, he proves in the 13 songs on his CD 'Liedjes van eigen boezem'. A remarkably fresh musical adventure with sometimes profound but not seldom humorous lyrics, in which Mante as a lyricist can effortlessly join the ranks of greats like Herman van Veen, Boudewijn de Groot and Huub van der Lubbe. The tight accompanying band VierMatenVooraf provides a particularly varied palette of music, in which Mante's lyrics shine beautifully

I am still in a more than pleasant state of surprise! Sung from the heart with a controlled dose of humour, sometimes provided with a signal/message. The beautiful, clear voice of Anne-Tjerk (the most beautiful sung rolling R ever!) is accompanied magisterially and occasionally by a second voice.

While listening you think: hey, the lyrics are quirky, beautiful, sometimes absurd, direct and tangible, seems like Jaap Fischer, no Bram Vermeulen...oh come what's his name? It looks like that kleinkunstenaar who is not afraid of rock and blues, because the music is nice, swings. It's not De Dijk, but it's raw and robust, sometimes more subtle, original melodies, mmm, nicely arranged, what is it? Who is this? These lyrics and music scream: Anne-Tjerk Mante! Unique as he is, that's also what this pleasantly disturbed and beautifully made CD is!
