Artificial intelligence is no longer a future risk - it is already reshaping fraud and financial crime. The same AI tools that promise efficiency and innovation are now being weaponised by fraudsters to scale deception, automate attacks, and exploit trust.
This session looks at AI as both a threat and a defence. Through concrete examples, it shows how fraudsters are using AI today - and how organisations can use AI to detect, prevent, and respond to financial crime more effectively. The talk cuts through hype to highlight what actually works, what doesn’t, and the hard trade-offs organisations face when deploying AI in the fight against fraud.
