Anastasia staat vooral bekend als een veelzijdige violiste met een passie voor wereldmuziek. Zo is Anastasia sinds jonge leeftijd ook erg gefascineerd door het prachtige geluid van de erhu. Sinds een aantal jaren streeft ze haar droom na om erhu te leren spelen en is nu bekend onder velen in China. Als onderdeel van haar masterstudie studeerde ze 1 jaar aan het Shanghai Conservatory of Music en kreeg ze ook de kans om les te nemen van top erhu muzikanten zoals Wang Lili, Zhu Changyao en Jin Wei.
De erhu is een tweesnarig instrument uit China dat meer dan 1000 jaar oud is. Tegenwoordig wordt de erhu vaak gebruikt als solo-instrument, maar past ook heel goed in verschillende bezettingen met andere muziekinstrumenten.

BIOGRAPHIE:
Anastasia Fridman (娜娜 Nana) is een violiste en erhu-speelster uit Nederland. Ze studeerde af aan het Conservatorium van Keulen in Duitsland met een bachelordiploma in vioolspel en behaalde later een masterdiploma aan Codarts in Rotterdam. Ze studeerde bij gerenommeerde docenten, waaronder Daniel Austrich, Frederieke Saeijs, Ayke Augus, Cho-Chiang Lin, Dylana Jenson en professor Zheng Weimin. Gepassioneerd door muziek neemt ze actief deel aan muziekfestivals over de
hele wereld en heeft ze talloze prijzen gewonnen voor haar uitvoeringen op de viool en de erhu.
Anastasia is actief in zowel Europa als Azië en treedt regelmatig op als soliste, in kamermuziekensembles en als lid van orkesten. Naast klassieke muziek is Anastasia al sinds haar jeugd gefascineerd door Chinese muziek en het unieke geluid van de erhu. In 2020, toen de wereld tot stilstand kwam, begon ze de erhu te verkennen onder leiding van professor Zhang Da in Duitsland.
Ze werd ze uitgenodigd door de Chinese Guandong Satellite TV om deel te nemen aan het vierde seizoen van de TV show genaamd "Chinese Music Festival" "国乐大典" en in 2024 was Anastasia uitgenodigd om op te treden in Parijs, Frankrijk, samen met professor Jin Wei, een gerenommeerd erhu-meester. Sindsdien krijgt ze regelmatig begeleiding van professor Jin Wei.
Gedreven door haar passie voor de erhu en Chinese muziek, ging ze tijdens haar masterstudie als uitwisselingsstudent naar de afdeling Chinese folk muziek van het Conservatorium van Shanghai. Daar kreeg ze les van professor Wang Lili, gespecialiseerd in de erhu. Naast het continu vergaren van professionele kennis, zet Anastasia zich ook in voor de promotie van Chinese muziek en cultuur in Europa.

De muziek van Anastasia op viool en erhu was echt de kers op de taart van onze bruiloft. Bij de borrel speelde ze prachtige muziek, deels door ons aangedragen en deels door haar gesuggereerd. Vooral het muziekstuk op de erhu was heel speciaal, met name voor de chinese kant van onze familie. Als we ooit een jubileum of familiefeest geven zouden we Anastasia er zeker weer bij willen vragen. Ook het contact vooraf en tijdens de bruiloft was heel prettig, ons nichtje van 6 jaar mocht zelfs even helpen met het klaarmaken van de snaren van de viool.
