BOSSAME - Música Roffa-Brasileira
Bossame speelt aanstekelijke en swingende Braziliaanse muziek, gebaseerd op authentieke samba, bossanova en MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) van de jaren ’50 tot ‘90. Eigentijdse vertolkingen van songs die bekend zijn van o.a. Chico Buarque, Dorival Caymmi, Caetano Veloso, João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Djavan, João Bosco en Ivan Lins.
De line-up van de band bestaat uit Rotterdamse musici actief in de pop, jazz en klassieke muziek. Allemaal ooit aangestoken door de ritmische en melodische rijkdom, de veelzijdigheid én virtuositeit van de Braziliaanse muziek! De meesten kennen elkaar via EPM Holanda, de Braziliaanse muziekschool in Rotterdam. De term Música Roffa-Brasileira is dan ook passend bij Bossame.
Com Licença, de eerste EP van Bossame, is te beluisteren op alle streaming platforms.
Live biedt Bossame een gevarieerde set van klassiekers en minder bekende parels uit het Brazilaanse repertoire. Muziek welke veelvuldig is getest op de stranden en in de straten van Rio de Janeiro, en die het ook uitstekend doet bij feesten, borrels of andere gelegenheden!

Selektor Mendes played at my dinner and party for my birthday. The party was in 70's style. During dinner he played excellent varied music. After dinner the party broke loose with soul and disco songs from that era; we all danced continuously. He is a pleasant and calm person who senses the atmosphere very well. Several guests said they enjoyed his music and vinyl gives extra atmosphere! We are very satisfied!

We booked DJ Selector Mendez for our 50th wedding anniversary party. Everything was arranged perfectly: the contact beforehand was pleasant, our request numbers were taken into account and the atmosphere during the party was great. We look back on a fantastic evening!
