We had Marit as a speaker at our annual This Year Next Year event where we look back on the past year and look ahead to the new year in our media profession. Our theme was "Dare to Choose" and we wanted Marit to share more about her choices as a top athlete but also in her new role as a mother. And looking back on last year, her golden year in Paris could not be missing. But her story is about so much more, it was about these choices she had to make in preparation for this year. Her inspiration based in part on the growth mindset philosophy was so personal, vulnerable and powerfully told. She had wonderful examples about the low points and choices. The way she brought this intelligently with much self-mockery was incredibly inspiring to the 850 people in the room. The reactions in the hall but also later in our evaluation showed that she was without a doubt the highest rated speaker we had on stage in the 13 editions!
