Powerslam is de spectaculaire theaterproductie van Live Action Wrestling – een unieke mix van sport, spektakel en storytelling. Het publiek wordt actief meegenomen in het verhaal achter de spierballen, en ontdekt de geschiedenis en geheimen van deze explosieve vorm van entertainment.
Powerslam is een interactieve en spectaculaire theatervoorstelling vol actie, humor en meeslepend drama – de ultieme introductie tot de wereld van Amerikaans showworstelen, rechtstreeks uit Nederland. Tijdens deze 60 tot 90 minuten durende show wordt het publiek meegenomen in een wervelend verhaal vol rivaliteit, spektakel en onverwachte wendingen. In de ring barst de actie los, maar ook daarbuiten gebeurt er van alles: het publiek speelt een actieve rol, moedigt aan, joelt, juicht en leert gaandeweg over de rijke geschiedenis en culturele impact van showworstelen. Deze unieke mix van sportentertainment en theater is niet alleen een visueel spektakel, maar ook verrassend leerzaam en toegankelijk voor jong en oud.
Powerslam is ontwikkeld door Live Action Wrestling, een Nederlandse firma die sinds 2023
actief is en bestaat uit een team van ervaren performers, sporters en verhalenvertellers. Samen brengen zij meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in live entertainment, performance en showworstelen naar het podium. Met spraakmakende shows op festivals, in poppodia én theaters, weet dit collectief als geen ander hoe je een publiek op het puntje van de stoel krijgt.

During Zotte Zondag in District Deurne, the audience was treated to an unforgettable live action wrestling show that sent adrenaline racing through everyone's body. From young to old - everyone was swept up in the rousing atmosphere around the ring. From the very first bell ring, the atmosphere was right on. Organized sound effects brought the fights to life, while an enthusiastic ring announcer continuously whipped up the crowd. Between matches, children were even invited to take pictures with the wrestlers - a fun, approachable way to make the magic of the show even more personal. The wrestlers brought not only physical strength and spectacular stunts, but also a hefty dose of entertainment. The flamboyant outfits, the theatrical interplay between heroes and villains, and the impressive acrobatics made sure to leave you short of eyes. Each fight was full of suspense, humor and unexpected twists, making the whole experience accessible and engaging even for those who are not seasoned wrestling fans. What made the experience extra special was how close the audience was to the action. The energy of the crowd - full of cheers, applause and enthusiastic children with open mouths - lifted the atmosphere to another level. The organization was in the hands of the wrestling collective, which, with professional wrestlers and a mobile ring installation, took care of everything to perfection. In short: the live wrestling show was an absolute hit and a valuable addition to the Zotte Zondag program.
