Een unieke act vol hits en imitaties
Menzo Kortland is een razend populaire zanger en imitator. In een energieke show vol
verrassingen zingt hij al jaren de allergrootste hits en doet hij verbluffende imitaties van
bekende Nederlandse zangers. Een baanbrekende twist op het volkse genre, waarin hij
muziek, comedy en imitaties met elkaar vermengt in een onvergetelijke show.

De geboren Brabander ging de afgelopen weken enorm viraal en werd vele miljoenen keren
online bekeken. Alleen al zijn imitatie van Gerard Joling bij de Burger King is op alle social
media bij elkaar opgeteld dik 3 miljoen keer bekeken. Andere video's, zoals Menzo’s imitatie
van Guus Meeuwis, haalden ook alle grote media, waaronder Radio 538 en het AD. In 2017
won hij op 3FM al een award als Beste Muzikale Imitator van Nederland en sindsdien reist
hij ieder weekend heel het land door met zijn unieke act.

Nu is het tijd voor de volgende stap: een eigen plaat. In het zomerse nummer Viva Maria,
waarvan de filmische videoclip is opgenomen in Sevilla, zingt Menzo over zijn
grote liefde:
een sexy, Spaanse diva genaamd Maria. Ze is prachtig qua innerlijk en uiterlijk, maar
onbereikbaar... De Alexia van Sevilla!
Viva Maria
is opgenomen in de legendarische Studio Arnold Mühren en komt van de hand
van producer Patrick Mühren. Backing vocals zijn van Franky Rampen en Ingrid Simons, die
nog een speciale rol heeft in het liedje. De tekst is geschreven door Menzo zelf.

With the danger that now everyone is going to book this group, I can report that we had a very successful Sinterklaas party. Partly thanks to the arrival of St. Nicholas, but especially his pete's, the children and the parents went home afterwards. I have heard messages from: "Very personal", "Humorous", "Child-friendly", "Well-dressed" and "Well-mannered". It was a first time for us this way, but next year we will definitely do it again this way. Thanks.
