Alles geïmproviseerd. Geen show hetzelfde. Dat was de radicale ambitie die deze twee muzikale boezemvrienden uitspraken. Wouter en Jacco spelen al sinds hun achtiende samen maar hebben zich beiden in vele verschillende muzikale richtingen ontwikkeld over de jaren. De één hoeft maar een noot te spelen en de ander vult aan, en zonder een woord te wisselen ontstaat er zo een uniek, geïmproviseerd muziekstuk. De één speelt piano, melodica en gitaar, de ander gitaar, basgitaar en contrabas. Een unieke muzikale luisterervaring!
Wouter is al jaren actief als jazzgitarist en bassist in allerlei bezettingingen, van gypsy jazz tot funk, pop tot bossa nova, van neo-soul tot electronische experimenten. Hij reist de wereld over om nieuwe invloeden op te doen en verwerkt dit in zijn improvisaties en composities onder de naam Perambulator.
Jacco nam al ruim 200 nummers op in verschillende samenstellingen (o.a. als Jacco Wynia en Jacco Manuel), met miljoenen luisteraars via spotify. Hij geniet ervan om samen met het publiek nieuwe muziek te laten ontstaan. Het samenspel met Wouter heeft een lange geschiedenis en blijft nog altijd leuker worden. Zijn jullie de volgende groep die onderdeel uitmaken van deze muzikale reis?
Jacco en Wouter nemen alle techniek mee, liefst in overleg zodat
precies duidelijk is hoe het geluid het best tot zijn recht kan komen. Naast improvisatie beschikken ze door jaren spelen ook over een groot repertoir aan covers waar eventueel op teruggevallen kan worden.

Wouter's performance at the party on the occasion of my retirement was completely in line with the wishes I had discussed beforehand. With his music he was able to support the atmosphere and enthuse people. The virtuoso guitar playing was wonderful to hear and beautiful to watch. Spontaneously an initiative arose from a singer to sing something. Wouter jumped in effortlessly and with enthusiasm. Thanks to his flexibility he managed to make it the most beautiful moment of the evening. Wouter delivers more than what he promises on the website! Recommended!

Wouter and Sophie perfectly felt the atmosphere of the event and responded to it. They started out as relaxed background music to welcome everyone, but later stepped up to the foreground and helped get the party off the ground. We've had positive feedback from a lot of people about 16BIS, so she would definitely book and recommend it again!
