Voetballiefhebbers zullen Wim Kieft vooral associëren met zijn iconische kopbal in 1988, waardoor het Nederlands Elftal in de laatste wedstrijd toch nog door ging naar de halve finale en uiteindelijk Europees Kampioen werd. Wim werd dan ook gezien als kopspecialist. Hij heeft bij verschillende clubs gespeeld waaronder PSV, Bordeaux, Pisa en Ajax.
Na zijn voetbalcarrière werd hij columnist en ook kwam hij regelmatig op tv. Zo was hij een graag geziene gast bij Voetbal International en diverse andere voetbalprogramma's. Ook is hij is te zien geweest in het spelprogramma 'De Pelgrimscode' en was hij analist bij Veronica Inside. Tegenwoordig is Wim Kieft o.a. actief als spreker. Wim is authentic and doesn't care about anyone. And that makes him strong in his storytelling. He moves on without hesitation from one anecdote to the next. From Leo Beenhakker, to Rinus Michels, from Marco van Basten to Ruud Gullit. His presence in the media is also discussed and, of course, Wim also addressed the difficult period of his life. With a number of public questions and the freedom for Wim to talk about his past, the more than 60 people present had a great time. Thanks Wim and until next time!
