Een bijzondere samenwerking waarin een warme jazzy sound samenkomt met vrolijk gypsy-swing.
Zigeuner gitarist Lollo Meier brengt gypsy jazz show van de bovenste plank, dit samen met de prettige performance van Happy maakt het tot een unieke beleving die smaakt naar meer.
Lollo Meier groeide op in een elite-familie van zigeunermuzikanten. Hij is onder andere neef en generatiegenoot van grootmeesters als Stochelo Rosenberg en Fapy Lafertin. De stijl van Lollo is geïnspireerd op de muziek van Django Reinhardt en is zowel traditioneel, melodieus, gevoelig en opgewekt. Hij componeert veel nieuw materiaal in deze gypsy jazz stijl, zijn composities hebben een verfrissende authentieke Djangosmaak en hij speelt met een buitengewone virtuositeit. Lollo Meier heeft de afgelopen 20 jaar talrijke albums opgenomen. Hij speelt op alle grote jazzfestivals in binnen- en buitenland. In
2013 werd een uitgebreide film over hem gemaakt (“Lollo’s Journey”). Het Lollo Meier Quartet bestaat verder uit de ervaren muzikanten Bert Smits (viool), Bram van Es (ritmegitaar) en Melvin Könings
