Ben Cramer is fed up with being ignored by Dutch radio and television. 'I sometimes think about joining Britain's Got Talent: putting on old coats and letting the judges style backwards Cramer totally envisions his Susan Boyle moment. Appearing as a kind of tramp on Britain's Got Talent, a program watched by more than 6 million people. ,,Then I show up a bit shy and when I start to sing, the judges are stunned. I guess I'm never really going to do that anyway.'' Cramer has self-released Only Once, a new album full of songs Tom Jones once sang. The 67-year-old singer wants nothing more than to go into the theater with these songs and those from his previous CD of Frank Sinatra songs. ,,But then this must be heard on radio and television, so that the public knows what my capabilities are. But in Hilversum they refuse to pay attention to this." Only at Omroep Max will he be allowed to play his Christmas single Be My Christmas tomorrow. "I think it's disrespectful," Cramer hums.
