Over
Else Merit heeft haar sporen meer dan verdiend in de Nederlandse muziekscene. Als leadzangeres van de rockband Bad Candy, die mede werd opgericht door Barry Hay van Golden Earring, stond ze al in het voorprogramma van Pink! in de Heineken Music Hall en
trad ze op in bekende radio- en tv-programma’s zoals 3FM, Radio 538, MTV en TMF. Haar zangopleiding volgde ze aan het prestigieuze Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen en het Universal Voice Institute in Amsterdam, waar ze haar masterdiploma behaalde. In haar carrière heeft ze met tal van getalenteerde muzikanten samengewerkt. Tegenwoordig schittert ze solo en in het duo Double Groove (met pianist) op diverse events – van intieme huwelijksceremonies tot energieke bedrijfsfeesten. Daarnaast deelt Else haar kennis als zangdocent aan de Hanzehogeschool, bij het Lucia Marthas College - Institute for Performing Arts in Groningen, en is ze eigenaar van haar eigen zangschool, My Vocal Academy in Groningen.

Else Merit provided a great atmosphere on December 12, 2024 during the company party of the UMCG at Stads- & Terrace Cafe Pronk created a great atmosphere! With her warm voice, stylish appearance and varied repertoire, she knew exactly how to hit the right tone. She felt the audience perfectly and effortlessly switched between atmospheric and festive. She made it a true party exactly what we needed. The live music gave the evening just that little bit extra. Highly recommended for any company party!

Else Merit gave a very nice performance during the Wine Festival at the A-Church in Groningen! Together with guitarist Elton she brought atmosphere through the chosen repertoire that fitted well with the festival. What was also very nice is that we could discuss the desired desired music genre. In addition, during the performance they felt the audience of the festival audience and could quickly switch to more upbeat songs when necessary songs. The build-up was therefore very nice.
