Deze achtkoppige band speelt traditionele gipsymuziek met doldwaze Balkanbeats. De band verweeft traditionele volksmuziek uit de Balkan met moderne pop- en rocknummers.
Op het repertoire staan nummers van o.a. Goran Bregovic en Fanfare Ciocårlia. Daarnaast worden bestaande nummers door de band 'verbalkaniseerd'. Zo gooien zij het ene moment bv Nirvana op de grill om daar vervolgens een pittig balkansausje over te gieten, het andere moment vindt u een balkanversie van Katy Perry grootste hits op uw bord.
De overige ingrediënten zijn plezier, energie, en dans. Een beproefd recept, want Balkanari krijgt het voor elkaar om het publiek los te laten gaan.

Heeyaa is particularly pleasant to work with. In more ways than one, I mean that. The music and interaction during their live performance struck a chord on multiple levels. Whether you were introverted or extroverted, you saw everyone enjoying themselves. Dancing, reacting to and interacting with Heeyaa during their performance. Fun!!! Action and fun! But the multiple ways also meant here go beyond just a really fun performance. Also the contacts beforehand and the tuning of the how and what during the performance, including the technical side. Balkanari of Balkanova orchestra played at our wedding. Fine communication beforehand, clear, open and thoughtful. Our requests were listened to, thought about and checked. Super nice! At the wedding it was one big party! Non-stop dancing and swinging Balkan songs. Super fun! Would definitely recommend if you want a vibrant and high energy party! Thank you guys so much!
