Laurie Akkerman is een veelzijdige zangeres en gitariste die zorgt voor professionele live muziek tijdens uiteenlopende evenementen. Met haar energieke uitstraling, sterke zang en live gitaarspel creëert zij een sfeervolle en toegankelijke performance die past bij zowel intieme momenten als feestelijke gelegenheden.
Afhankelijk van de gelegenheid is Laurie inzetbaar als solo zangeres met gitaar, in combinatie met piano of als energieke podiumact waarbij de muziek nadrukkelijker op de voorgrond staat.
Laurie Akkerman onderscheidt zich als zangeres en gitariste door haar muzikale achtergrond en natuurlijke podiumgevoel. Haar optreden voegt muzikaliteit, uitstraling en beleving toe aan ieder event. Haar repertoire bestaat uit herkenbare Nederlandse en internationale hits van toen en nu, variërend van pop en soul tot lichte singer-songwriterinvloeden. Met zang en gitaar schakelt zij moeiteloos tussen sfeervolle achtergrondmuziek en een meer aanwezige live performance, altijd afgestemd op het publiek en de setting.
Opgegroeid in Volendam, een bekende broedplaats van muzikale kwaliteit, en met Jan Akkerman als vader, was muziek van jongs af aan een vanzelfsprekend onderdeel van haar leven. Het is dan ook geen toeval dat zij is afgestudeerd aan het conservatorium in Londen en inmiddels werkt als fulltime muzikant.
Door
haar ervaring op uiteenlopende evenementen en locaties door heel Nederland brengt Laurie niet alleen muzikaliteit, maar ook professionaliteit en betrouwbaarheid. Live muziek is voor haar geen truc, maar vakmanschap — met gevoel, timing en persoonlijkheid.

She did both fantastically, even studying the songs we wanted to hear. Irene September 2022 Big smiles on our faces We were preparing for our big day, our wedding. Extra special for us because it was not so obvious, that we would get married yet. So we really wanted a day with a golden edge. A day we would look back on for the rest of our lives with a big smile on our faces. During a farewell service I had heard Frank and Laurie sing and play once. I was very impressed. The way they play and sing, you notice, fill and hear so well their passion for their craft, in which they are so enormously professional. That is why I asked Laurie if she and Frank would provide the music during our wedding ceremony in the church on July 2, 2022. We had chosen one song that we really wanted to hear and it was no problem to sing it for us. We were sent them after they had been sung, so we already had an idea of how they would sound. It was so beautiful that we decided that we wanted Frank and Laurie to accompany us at the beginning of the wedding, during the bread table. How much we enjoyed the beautiful music, the joy, the passion with which was sung and played. It made us feel feelings we didn't know we had. Music touches you in your soul, deep in your heart, and especially on your wedding day. And not only us, but all the people in the church, and at one wedding were deeply touched by the couple's particularly beautiful singing. If we were to do it over, we would definitely ask Frank and Laurie again to accompany us with the music, or perhaps in the future when we have its to celebrate again.
