Artisanal Letterpress – a live print workshop at your event!
Step out of the fast-paced world for a moment and discover the magic of letterpress. With two authentic printing presses over 70 years old, richly scented ink and beautiful, thick paper, I bring the craft of printing to life — at your location or in my artisanal print workshop in Voorburg. The activity and pricing as shown below apply when I come to your location.

My craft is my passion. What I love most is sharing this knowledge and allowing people to experience for themselves how words quite literally make an impression.

The experience
For events, I set up the print workshop so visitors can take part at their own pace. That’s why I work with a Fast Lane and a Slow Lane:

Fast Lane
Visitors choose from a pre-designed print, such as a short quote or phrase, which I print on the spot. A low-threshold, accessible introduction to letterpress for many people.

Slow Lane
Here, the process takes center stage. Visitors create their own word or sentence and go through the steps of the letterpress process together with me. There is time for explanation, questions, and attention.

Always tailor-made
We discuss the audience, occasion, and atmosphere in advance, after which I develop a fitting concept. A few examples:

• In a museum:
A quote by an artist (Fast Lane) and a personal sentence reflecting the exhibition (Slow Lane).
• At a Ronald McDonald House:
Prints featuring quotes about volunteering and care.
• In a zoo:
Playful texts about animals, or a print where visitors replace their name with their favorite animal.
• At a wedding or bachelor(ette) party:
A loving quote, a date, or a word that suits the couple, with room in the Slow Lane for a personal wish, promise, or memory.
The possibilities are nearly endless and always adapted to the context and the audience.

For which groups?
• Up to 16 people: welcome in my print workshop in Voorburg
• Larger groups: I come to the location, with assistance if needed
• Suitable for museums, festivals, weddings, bachelor(ette) parties, corporate events, public days, and openings.

Why this works
Letterpress invites people to slow down and pay attention. Visitors actively participate, feel the paper, smell the ink, and watch the result emerge from the press. Each print is carefully wrapped, so everyone takes home a self-made, tactile, and lasting memory of the experience.

Business-wise
Duration
Letterpress printing is a hands-on, artisanal process and requires sufficient time. The minimum duration is 2 hours. For groups of 75 participants or more, we recommend a minimum of 3 hours to ensure a smooth experience for both small and large groups.
Smaller groups can print items such as (beach) bags.
With larger groups, more participants can print simultaneously.
Additional support for large groups
For larger groups, additional assistance may be required. This will be charged at €50 per hour per additional staff member.
Material costs
Paper and ink costs will be calculated separately, as these depend on the group size and selected materials.
