Anastasia is mainly known as a versatile violinist with a passion for world music. Thus, since a young age, Anastasia has also been very fascinated by the beautiful sound of the erhu. Since several years, she has been pursuing her dream of learning to play erhu and is now known among many in China. As part of her master studies, she studied for 1 year at Shanghai Conservatory of Music and also had the opportunity to take lessons from top erhu musicians such as Wang Lili, Zhu Changyao and Jin Wei.
The erhu is a two-stringed instrument originating in China that dates back more than 1,000 years. Today, the erhu is often used as a solo istrument, but also fits very well in various line-ups with other musical instruments.

BIOGRAPHY:
Anastasia Fridman (娜娜 Nana) is a violinist and erhu player from the Netherlands. She graduated from the Cologne Conservatory in Germany with a bachelor's degree in violin performance and later earned a master's degree from Codarts in Rotterdam. She studied with renowned teachers, including Daniel Austrich, Frederieke Saeijs, Ayke Augus, Cho-Chiang Lin, Dylana Jenson and Professor Zheng Weimin. Passionate about music, she actively participates
in music festivals around the world and has won numerous awards for her performances on the violin and erhu.
Active in both Europe and Asia, Anastasia regularly performs as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and as a member of orchestras. In addition to classical music, Anastasia has been fascinated by Chinese music and the unique sound of the erhu since her childhood. In 2020, when the world came to a standstill, she began to explore the erhu under the guidance of Professor Zhang Da in Germany.
She was invited by the Chinese Guandong Satellite TV to participate in the fourth season of the TV show called "Chinese Music Festival" "国乐大典" and in 2024, Anastasia was invited to perform in Paris, France, along with Professor Jin Wei, a renowned erhu master. Since then, she has been receiving regular guidance from Professor Jin Wei.
Driven by her passion for the erhu and Chinese music, she attended the Chinese folk music department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music as an exchange student during her master's studies. There she was taught by Professor Wang Lili, who specializes in the erhu. In addition to continuously gaining professional knowledge, Anastasia is also committed to promoting Chinese music and culture in Europe.
