We had the opportunity to watch an extraordinary performance by this ensemble. Beforehand, I clearly discussed with Robin what the occasion was, and although a memorial service and tango do not immediately match, he put together a repertoire that matched the service perfectly and also built up nicely. Robin is a great man and musician! As soon as he starts playing, so many beautiful emotions are released. So much feeling and love for music is fantastic and then in combination with his drive, talent to improvise, to listen to our wishes and his own endless pleasure to make music is contagious. When we discussed which songs we might want to play at our wedding we saw Robin while listening to songs via Spotify, counting, listening deeper, smiling and after a while saying 'yes this is going to be all right' and assured us that he would get the best bits out of it before the ceremony and adjust the duration of the song to the ceremony. Practically we discussed things like the place of making music, extension cables, amplifier, what to do in nice and bad weather. On our wedding day 6 Sept 2019 Robin was great! From djamming, accompanying our ceremony with beautiful songs (including vocals, piano, guitar and violin) to making music together with other family musicians. What a FEEST! Robin seems to be able to do everything, has a lot of knowledge and is 100% capable of shining your party, wedding, event. It was awesome. Celebration of wedding anniversary and birthdays in restaurant in park in Utrecht. The evening before the party we discussed with Radboud (violinist) that, because of the expected beautiful weather for a large part, the party would take place outside. Then Robin (pianist) took his accordion with him so that he could also perform outside. Later it moved inside, where the trio with piano continued. Los Tangueeros Clásicos, a very talented and characteristic ensemble, has more than lived up to our expectations. From our church wedding we arrived at our wedding location. There we were, so romantic, welcomed by these three men with a love song. They look like they can get through a ring (tuxedo), are accessible, improvise, created exactly the atmosphere we wanted (a sultry, French/Italian, cheerful, warm summer evening) and play well audible in the background. Last Saturday we enjoyed a performance of Robin. He played accordion at my party and from the first notes the atmosphere was already good. What a great evening we had with Robin El-Hage! Robin played for the Creenstone brand during a large dinner in the Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam.
