Joke de Kruijf has played both at home and abroad in major Musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, and Cats. She also appeared in original Dutch musical productions such as Willeke de Musical in which she played the title role, 1953 de Musical and Het Meisje met het Rode Haar (The Girl with Red Hair). In 1995 she won the Gouden Notenkraker (Golden Nutcracker), the prize of the Nederlandse Toonkunstenaarsbond, and she was nominated no less than 3 times for a John Kraaijkamp Musical Award. She does dubbing and speaks the Dutch voices of Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty for Walt Disney, among others. Joke also gives workshops with the aim of guiding young people in the musical profession and she is ambassador for 'Only Friends' and 'A Sister's Hope'. She has also developed the STEM training in which people of all ages become aware of their own voice and learn to use and control it better.
