Martijn plays harmonica in the style of Toots Thielemans and can be used as part of a duo, quartet, but also with big band or large orchestra. Martijn has extensive experience as a soloist, both nationally and internationally.
After the death of Toots Thielemans, Martijn is regarded as one of the best Dutch chromatic mouth harmonica players. He worked, for example, with the Metropole Orchestra, the Jazzorchestra of the Concertgebouw, with artists like Laura Fygi, Hans Dulfer and Thijs van Leer and with pop artists like René Froger and Desray (2 brothers on the 4th floor). Martijn can be used in almost every conceivable line-up.
