Martien Verheyden, is born and raised in Amsterdam. Her life is one long musical journey. As a child she got acquainted with classical music and played piano and drum for years. Soon she developed a great passion for electronic music, especially house music. Martien V.  prijst herself lucky that she was able to experience the beginning of house music in the famous clubs in Amsterdam. Think of Roxy and IT, where the pioneers of the Dutch dance scene experienced their first successes.

In this inspiring period her intense passion for house music started. Martien is one of the DJ's of the society 8 event.Wekelijks she stands as DJ Martien V. behind the turntable at hotspots all over Amsterdam (W-Lounge, 5&33, Conservatorium Hotel, A'DAM Tower, Supperclub, Restaurant I-Dock, Club NL and Chicago Social Club). Martien V breathes music. "It's so beautiful. Every song has a story and I want to share it with others". There are a lot of records in her house. Many songs inspire her. They have a certain meaning or remind her of a specific life event.
